Subject: RE: Who's using Beginner 1/2 Ironman Training Plan? I'm starting the Beginner HIM plan on 4/22 and very much looking forward to it. I already get butterflies thinking about doing a freakin' HIM but I know that if I follow the plan, I'll have no problem on race day. I plan on using HR as my primary guide throughout my training. Plus, I just got a new Garmin Forerunner 305 and have to try to use that to its fullest potential. I, too, thought about using the Gold HIM plan but that one seems a little aggressive for me at this point in my tri career and involves entirely too much swimming! Thanks to all for the feedback on the plan. I'll have to dissect it this weekend and consider adding some long rides and, perhaps, runs. Cheers! Tom |
