Not quite ready for an Ironman triathlon? Not ready for even a half-Ironman? How about basking in the glow of completing a 1/10 Ironman? This sprint-distance race will be especially geared for ROOKIES and FIRST-TIMERS, but all club members are invited to participate. If you are a seasoned triathlete and have a spouse, kid, or friend who needs some urging to try out the sport, here is your opportunity to accompany them on a flat and friendly racecourse. Coaching by experienced triathletes will be encouraged for transition set-up and during the race. If you’re not up for racing, come out and volunteer.
Directions to Glorietta Bay: Take the I-5 to the Coronado Bridge exit. Turn left on Orange Ave. (Rt 75 ) and pass the Hotel Del Coronado on your right. Glorietta Park will be on your left past the first traffic light on the Silver Strand. There is construction at the Marina so you cannot park on Strand Way along the curb. Food and drinks for competitors and volunteers will follow the event.
The Race Director for the IronicMan Triathlon is Barbara Javor. If you are going to race, volunteer or if you have any questions, please contact her at [email protected].
You don't neeed to be a club member to race, but ifyou enjoy it then join the club.
if you have any questions let me know
