Comments: I wasn't nervous. The waves actually gave me an advantage. It was fun! What would you do differently?: Better sighting Transition 1
Comments: My focus on this race was the transitions. Doing nothing but getting ready for the bike. I had my shirt on under my wetsuit. This helped a lot. No Gu, No Gatorade. Just getting the wetsuit off and running shoes on. What would you do differently?: Pratice a little more. Bike
Comments: This was my strongest event. I need to build leg power for the flat courses. I couldn't catch a few guys. They were too strong (and big). What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: T2 took way too long, about 30 seconds too long. I put socks on, and didn't take my feet out of my bike shoes while I was still on the bike. What would you do differently?: Practice Run
Comments: This was my fastest 10k ever. I felt really good. I started running fast at mile 2. Had a Gu at mile 1, with water.I knew that I was doing well, but I wanted to cross the finish line really huffing and puffing. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Sat in chair. Big picnic after the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: I have gotten faster, a lot faster this year. Finished in the top 20% of all racers. My goal was top 25%. Finished 42nd out of 238 racers. That's top 18%! Event comments: Very fun race for me. I loved the Ocean swim! Last updated: 2007-09-19 12:00 AM
