  • Comments: This really is a small town race so not a lot of fanfare or bells and whistles but it was very well done. They had beer and pizza at the finish line, the volunteers were all great, the course was nice. I would definitely recommend this one for 50 staters looking to pick up Rhode Island.

  • Comments: Beautiful course. Free beer at the end. Not many hills, and hills in race weren't very steep. Weather was glorious, near perfect running conditions. A little windy, but I didn't really feel much impact from that except for one stretch in 2nd half.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: Well all in all for my first Marathon, I'd say I did well for myself. It's been a really hard road to get here. I've only been running for a year and 8 months, and have come this far is awesome. The 18 weeks of training did me good, and prepared me for the 26.2 miles. I just didn't expect to be in the Med-tent after. I think If I had slowed down a bit in the beginning, and hydrated better, it could have been avoided. It really was a great first marathon experience, except the end. The weather was just perfect, along with the great views.

  • Comments: Need to work on bus transportation - lots of people to move, and seemed always lines. And lines for port-a-johns, and everything else. I started late while hundreds were all in line for port-a-johns, and lots in line to check0in clothes, etc...

  • Comments: Beautiful course the scenery was gorgeous and I ran with John until after the half way mark then he slowly pulled away as the hills really got me and I had to walk some which really made me mad at myself! My family and friends popped out on the course 5 or more times which was great to keep seeing them and they had made signs and placed them throughout the end of the course! Great support!

  • Comments: Overall a good race. It's a really scenic course. They do need more aid stations though. There was only a few for the first 13 miles and then even after that they were supposed to have them every 2 miles but I don't think they did.

  • Comments: Fun little race although this is not a beginners course. It is VERY hilly and the weather can be a factor as the course is very much on the water. May be back next year...we shall see.
