  • Comments: I'll definately be back next year. I was on pace to have my best sprint race yet. My swim and run were both PR's and my bike was right there before the mistake. I'm guessing I would have been around a 1:06 without the unplanned pit stop which would have put me somewhere between third and sixth in my age group. Bummer.

  • Comments: There should have been something in place to ensure that everyone did their two loops on the bike and run. Online it shows I placed 3rd in my age group because the first place girl had a faster bike split than the overall male finisher and her times for the swim and run are not consistant with the bike split time. Obviously she didnt do the 2 loops.

  • Comments: I had a great time. The place was nice and the run course was actually kinda scenic. The event was put together well and everything seemed to run smoothly.

  • Comments: OK, DA runs a smooth event and really everything was fine until waiting for the results, really does it take 7 hours to post results, I mean come on, the race is over at 11:00am and the results show up at 6 PM - I mean this is not an Ironman, it is a sprint race, come on DA this is the issue that hit you last year at this race - OK - I am off my box now!!

  • Comments: Overall I really liked this race. The swim was not crowded which was nice. The bike course was on decent roads that are not heavily traveled by cars on the weekend, which was nice. The hills were nice, and would have been better without a headwind. The run course was through a neighborhood and on a path. The path was skinny so I thought it would be crowded, but it wasn't. I would go back and do the race again.

  • Comments: Like others have said.. I really want to like the DA races. they make an effort to make them fun, but they seem to mess up something basic each time.

  • Comments: I can't really criticize but it seems it shouldn't be that hard to make sure you have accurate timing. It's important to the athletes and we pay good money for the race

  • Comments: Love Dallas Athletes but they should step it up on their race production. Some of the timers were off and thus the results are still in question. They have addressed the issues and I look forward to a great next race from them.

  • Comments: There were a lot of things that I think could've been better and I didn't even encounter the biggest problems, so some of this may be influenced by the experiences of others. I also realize this was the first time this race was put on at this location, but the organization puts on a lot of races. The timing was fine for me, but i see a lot of things that are pretty suspect. The bike course was way off....a tenth of a mile is understandable, but >2 miles is BAD. Not many volunteers on the bike course showing the turn onto the final road and I know it caused at least one rider to miss the turn. The decision on the part of the cop to allow cars to pass was likely not the fault of the race organization, then again, it may not have been communicated properly that the racers have priority over the cars. Parts of the run course were not marked well and caused some minor confusion. If they have it, I'll probably do the race again next year, only because it's so close to my home. However, I think

  • Comments: The Race Group That Shall Not Be Named should be ashamed of this fiasco and should offer everyone who did this race a refund. It's a great venue for a race, but the job they did is deplorable. I thought Disco the last 2 years was the worst it could get, but they proved me WAY wrong. They should post results with split times so that obvious errors can be spotted before the awards. They should post the results faster and more often, not just once. Lots of people went home having no idea what their times were. And for crying out loud, they should check the results before the awards to make sure they make sense. Instead, Tom Ryan was lying down getting a massage while the rest of us who did the race got screwed. Update - Now it's 3 days later. I actually talked to Tom personally and discussed my overall unhappiness with the race. He basically agreed with everything I had to say. Gotta say, as little respect as I have for DA's ability to put on a race, I respect Tom for calling me

  • Comments: A caveat to the 'drink stations' question: it was fine yesterday for me given that it was cool outside, but I answered 'no' because I heard several others talk about wanting another station out there and if it was hotter, people would have been cracking all over the course. There was a great spot for a station not 200 yards from the finish line too, so it felt like they slacked on the stations...again. I would think after Disco 2 years ago, they would be hyper-vigilant about something like that. The chip timing was a mess. There was no timing mat at the start of the swim(they were recording start times by a PDA and pen & paper??), the finisher's clock stopped working before 2/3 of the people finished, and when they finally put the results online late last night, they were all sorts of wrong. Everybody has bad days, I get that. I've never been at a race done by 'Race Chip Timing.com' before so I don't know if this is par for the course(they did St. Patty's too, so somebody could

  • Comments: It was good to be out doing something on the weekend besides drinking beer and beating the kids....not mine, my brothers. I enjoyed the people I met. Even if they didn't talk back to me during conversation. Seriously though, it was fun, and I'm looking forward to the Texas Man.

  • Comments: I would give this 5 stars but the timing issues really suck, the race results are late getting posted and writing down the times on a legal paid, well that is just bad.

  • Comments: another DA race. Nothing really to complain about other than the pool situation. I would have probably jumped up a couple places easy had I been able to swim at my pace.
