Does anyone clean their HR monitor strap? (Page 2)

Ha.  I wipe the sensors with the hem of my shirt after each workout... it honestly never occurred to me to do more than that.  

Generally just rinse off with water after use.  But I have notice my orig Garmin strap gets less reliable if I let gunk build up on it.  A quick wash with hand soap & it's GTG again.

What timing! I just washed my strap for the first time, ever, after using it for a couple years now. It was kinda gross, but does get "rinsed" prior to every use - and not by a tongue! I used diluted simple green to combat the crud. Good to go again.

HR monitors are so utterly ridiculous and are purchased by the sheeple triathletes.  Awesome, you got your HR up to 160, but still came in bop.  

Mine goes in the shower with me after each workout.  It's the only way I can put the damm thing on for the second or third workout of the day.  I try to change kit after each workout but I only use one HRM strap.  Nice to think it's a clean wet versus that old familier funky wet.  There is something uniquely refreshing about putting on a cold HRM strap at 5:30 in the morning.  cringe.
