Yes we volunteer at a lot of races. We have volunteered at IMFL several times and it is a blast and have our eyes opened. We volunteered at sprints too and lots of road races. I see all the hard work and when I go past volunteers, I thank them. Without volunteers there would be no races...

I'm looking forward to it. My brother and I signed up to pass out T-shirts and finisher medals, but I'm guessing there will be a lot to see. I would expect a number of pros may be there as spectators too (given that it's Boulder). I imagine most will be KQ'd by that point.

The race is in Smithfield Virginia. Home of the "Smithfield Ham" One of the cool perks of this race is supposed to be the great BBQ afterwards
Time to get some rest. Thanks to all for the well wishes.

I survived and had a great time. My times were pretty close to what I had estimated. The swim, of course, was the worst part; made it freestyle the whole way. Great event and well run. I plan to do it again next year.

That's awesome on the swim!  The best outcome is to want to race it again, right?  Congrats!

So, did the winners get a trophy ham?
