Run
Comments: Pretty good. I did not walk until the end of the runway (about a mile and a half), to take advantage of the fire hose spraying on us. I walked again at the second water station to drink more easily (just over 2 miles). Once I hit the third mile, I stopped to walk about three times. Not as good as I'd hoped, but not too bad considering this was my first race. What would you do differently?: Start further up in the pack. I did not want to go out too fast, so I went out too slow. Post race
Warm down: The long walk to the car. What limited your ability to perform faster: The fact that I had never done this before, and that in my training so far I haven't run more than two miles without stopping yet. Event comments: This was my first 5K, so I have nothing to compare it to, but overall, I am very pleased with both the race and my own performance. Last updated: 2006-05-31 12:00 AM

Ran around the block at home and then stretched. Ate half a bagel, half a banana, and some red gatorade.
Just a little stretching. Oh, and the long walk from the parking lot.
