  • Comments: Awards ceremony took too long to get started. I left before it got started. Finish line should be more clearly marked for spectators. Almost hit a kid who ran out heading into T2, and volunteers were very apologetic. Nice folks who helped out alot. I felt very comfortable being my first triathlon.

  • Comments: Overall good, run race. Can't wait to go again next year! Volunteers were helpful and the course was well marked and organized. Not sure why we can't get in a full 5k but that's a minor complaint. Best race t-shirt ever...a technical T, not some lame cotton tee...NICE TOUCH! Love it.

  • Comments: This was my first triathlon. In fact I just bought a bike the day before. I hadn't ridden a bike in 6 years or a road bike -- EVER, until the day before where I took it out for a 1 mile test run and a 6 mile light ride. I haven't run or swam since February either. It was a last minute thing registering the afternoon of the day before. All I can say is I'm hooked and can only imagine what I will be able to do with a bit of training. I was hoping to hit a 1:30 and came in well under my goal by over 11 minutes! I think with some training I have the ability to drop my time down the 1:12 range or faster. This gives me a starting point and with no training whatsoever, saying I was pleased with the results...would be an understatement.

  • Comments: I think the hotel experience in addition to the lack of organization will prompt me to look for a different race next year. Plus, with all the good pubs downtown, they should make this a Sat race so it is easier to enjoy the nightlife.

  • Comments: I was VERY happy with my time. My last tri (Pocomoke) I finished in 2:09. My training, plus the road bike, plus knowing what to expect to a larger degree, really helped me. My wife no longer thinks I'm a moron for doing this.

  • Comments: The swim take out seemed dangerous to me. I would have added an outdoor carpet on the take out because of the rocks and boulders. I slipped a few times on them.

  • Comments: Overall, I am very pleased with my performance. Being my first Triathlon, I set a goal to be under 1:30:00 and I beat that. It was great having the support of my wife, two kids, in-laws and friends. That helped get through the run. I know I could have finished better but things happen and I am still pleased. I know what to do differently next month and where I need to work harder. Great race everyone and another thanks to Mike who helped me getting ready for my 1st Tri.

  • Comments: Overall a good race. I had a goal of beating 1:45:00. I am really pleased with beating that by nearly 18 minutes. I was very nervous going into the race, and I feel like the months of training paid off. It was fun and cant wait to do another Triathlon. It was really great to cross the finish line and have the support of my wife, son, and mother and father in law cheering me on. Also thanks to Ron for being a great training partner. Also, I never saw the people giving free massages.

  • Comments: Every year this race has gotten better. This year was no exception. The confusing spot of runners and cyclists crossing each other near the transition from last year was gone. The clean transition ins and outs were perfect this year.

  • Comments: I liked the race overall but the heat and the low water (which both are not the fault of the race directors), were really a killer. I will probably do this race again next year because the bike ride was really nice.
