  • Comments: They can't do anything about the sewer pipe breaking. I thought they did a good job with plan B. The 2 water stations were fantastic. I liked the loops because I always had folks around.

  • Comments: Need to get the distances right. Either the correct lengths or advertise a shorter race. Either is fine, but not posting correct distances really isn't acceptable in this day and age. That being said, Playtri puts on a great event and I will be back next year.

  • Comments: Really have no race to base off of since this was my first race but it seemed well planned and organized. Only down side to it was waiting for an hour to start my swim wave without being able to have the area to warm up in.

  • Comments: The u turn right before T2 could change but over all great race. Have to give props to the wife. Without her support and help I would never even get to the start line. Having to drag a 2yo, 3 teenage boys and one of them on crutches around for the day. That woman is all that and a bag of chips.

  • Comments: It took forever for them to do the awards. We were out there till almost noon waiting in the hot weather. They should have at least done the sprint awards around 10:30 or so. Also let the guys go first ahead of the girls.

  • Comments: Pretty well organized. Started maybe 10 minutes late but that was due to weather. Not much to do after the race other than sit there and watch the olympic racers head out on their second bike loop/run start. It would have been nice if the sprint and olympic transitions were separate so sprint racers didn't have to wait for 2 hrs to get their bikes out of transition after the race.

  • Comments: This was my second Playtri race and I have been fairly impressed with them. They are well organized, I am always amazed as how they have pizza delivered so early in the morning (didn't know pizza places were open that early). I had heard bad things about the swim location before the race but it turned out to be pretty good.

  • Comments: Staci Brode is an extremely hard working race director. This is the second race I did with her this year where weather was / could have been a factor. She is fearless, nothing fazes her -- she just charges straight ahead. Awesome. Ava Wilk 8 years old did her first triathlon. Great memories... Chris Phelan did a great job on the microphone keeping things interesting.

  • Comments: swim rank: 51 bike rank: 6 run rank: 23 overall 2nd in my age group. Need to get back to swimming at least twice a week... a 50 meter pool in my backyard would help. Showing progress with my new run training strategy. Last year they had a huge expo... hopefully that'll be back next year. I wanted to go to the ITB clinic, but I pulled nap-duty instead so my wife could visit with her parents/sister. I love this venue.. super nice being able to roll out of bed and take the elevator down to transition. City of Irving had a nice fireworks display right behind the hotel. Post race there was pizza, bagels, bananas, sports drink, water. Didn't pay attention to the music, but I never heard Eye of the Tiger... I DID hear "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers, so +1 for that. Look forward to going back next year.

  • Comments: Swim course was crowded/confusing. Bike roads were concrete with several holes, but good challenge. All in all a pretty good race course. Will feel more comfortable next time. Thought there should have been some loud music playing.

  • Comments: The transition was good unlike at stonebridge, and the bike had enought people to let you know where to go. Only peeve was the swim distance/course was off. Will definitely do it again next year if it fits into my schedule.

  • Comments: I thought it was a good race. I think they had some organization problems in the first wave of the swim, but other than that it seemed to go well. Looking at the numbers from all the other events they had, I'm wondering if it was worth it. Maybe next year they can just concentrate on the Sprint and things will be a little less hectic.

  • Comments: Overall a great, well organized race. I would do it again. Tri Play did a wonderful job of putting this together. I would also like to thank all of the volunteers! You guys make the race happen. My only suggestion for next year would be to have the awards AT the race site, versus in the hotel. That was confusing and Ashley had to go get her hardware after it was done.

  • Comments: This race was good for me. It showed me that I can finish strong, even when things aren't going my way. But more than anything, it showed me that I am in the right place. If bad things can happen and I can still look back, be relatively happy with my performance, and want to get back out there and do it again, I know that the triathlon is for me!

  • Comments: They got the broad strokes right; the run & bike segments were well-marked & such. However, they could have done a better job with the pre-race meeting & with explaining the swim course. There was a lot of confusion amongst the racers as to who went where on the swim course.

  • Comments: Overall a good race with TONS of events going on simultaneously. I was shocked at how well everything seemed to go given that there were so many events going on at once. The volunteers were great and lined the route pointing the way.
