"This was my first pair of tri shorts, so I don't really have a comparison, but you should give them a try. For such a low cost, you really can't lose. These have been through miles of training rides, plenty of chlorine in the community center pool and one sprint tri and they're still looking pretty good."vulcandg
Quality of Construction
Thought the silk screening would already be gone, but it's still good.
Fit
A little tight in the thighs, but good everywhere else.
Comfort
A little tight in the thighs, but good everywhere else.
Adjustability
Just the main drawstring. What more do you need in shorts.
Durability
A little fading over 3 months, buth in great shape otherwise.
Value
For only $19.50, you can't beat the price with a stick.
Appearance
Again... black tri shorts. They look like most every other brand that offers black shorts.
Customer Service
Answered questions immediately and even threw in a pair of free cycling gloves (althoug they're very cheap).
Performance
Got me through my first tri.
Strengths
For the price these can't be beat. It's a little tough, as you can't try them on in any stores - although the vendor didn't have any problem with exchanging if the size was off. This is just a great value when everything else out there is $40+.
Weakness
The vendor mentioned not to wring out the shorts like a wash cloth, as the thin seat pad had a tendency to tear under these conditions. I haven't had a problem. I have noticed that their starting to fade a little already.
