"The P2 and P2K model has a long and prestigious career in triathlon history. If you want high-end bike features like a rear wheel cutout, carbon seatpost, and aero shaped frame tubing, but don't have the money for the truely high-end, then this model is for you.

The 2006 model year started offering an all carbon option in this model line. 2005 was still an aluminum frame, but Cervelo's smart wall tubing still makes it very light and stiff for an Al bike.

I got this bike as a DIY kit. I wouldn't recommend this option for anyone semi-new to bike assembly and repair. The internal cabling was a pain.

Except for the stock tires and the carbon seatpost the construction has been solid. The component choices were spot on.

Get professionally fitted before buying a bike. If the goemetry isn't going to be right, don't buy a bike for any other reason. If you have a tri-bike and this number isn't a 5, then you have the wrong bike.

Padded aerobars and a tri-specific saddle make this a very comfy ride. Aluminum is a little bumpy, but the carbon seatpost does a good job there. A saddle upgrade will make all the difference.

(5)

Everything is adjustable in the aerobars, seat, seatpost, wheel spacing, etc.

(4)

Good component choices, and solid stiff frame construction.

(3)

More expensive than the Dual, which is in my opinion the best price to performance tri-bike on the market. The P2 is comparably priced with other tri bikes with the same features.

Ride a Cervelo, and you'll get noticed at the races.

Vroomen.

Ultegra and Dura Ace components, aero bladed carbon fiber fork, seatpost and crank arms. Aerodynamic design and bike-color-war neutral color (white is all colors right?)

This is also the lowest model offered by Cervelo with a rear wheel cutout for aerodynamics.

The only real weaknesses I've noticed have been in the stock tires, seat, and seat post. The tires that came from the factory were light racers that flatted frequently, and both blew out within 2 months. The seat is supposed to be tri-specific, but aftermarket tri saddles are far superior.

The carbon seatpost is a nice aero design, but under a clydesdale weight the composite coating cracks and sloughs around the clamp. I often get comments about why my bike creaks and groans. It's the seatpost. The shape makes it impossible to buy an aftermarket replacement.
