"100 lap memory, countdown timer, interval timer, and five alarms are enough for me. If you want a basic time-counting watch, this one is golden in my opinion. If you want health data/gps/etc., keep looking."dglov

Quality of Construction

Mine fogged up and finally died like others I have read, but it was after four years of heavy use. I had the battery changed and the person told me it failed the water test due to a damaged seal. I used it in the water anyway and it still went another 6 months before the display went away completely. I push the buttons in the water, which is not recommended, but it still works fine.

Durability

The knock seems to be that they fog up and die, some sooner, some later. My first went four years, which, for $40, I'll take any day. The current one is going strong at 6 months.

Not the smallest, sleekest, or sexiest, but for what I need, its perfect.

Customer Service

The little thing that keeps the end of the strap from flopping around broke, so I called Timex. For $8, they sent a new band set. It arrived within a couple of days, installed in 5 minutes.

Performance

It has met all of my expectations.

Strengths

Large display, ease of use, durable, plenty functionality (for me, anyway).

Weakness

Waterproof seal eventually breaks down, somewhere between immediately and several years, apparently. Might be a little large for some. I never use the Flix part, but my kids think its cool. Maybe those who run in the dark a lot need it.
