"This model is a good compromise between features and price if you want the Polar name brand. If you're just starting out and need a good HRM, look at a Sigma."jpryor
Ease of use
The menus are intuitive.
Quality of Construction
As good of quality as any high-end HRM.
Fit
The chest strap stays in place and is very adjustable.
Value
Polar is one of the most feature laden HRM manufacturers. They cram a lot of stuff into a unit. However, their prices reflect that.
Customer Service
Do not expect your LBS to offer any help if you have problems with your unit. Polar has TERRIBLE customer support. This is their primary weakness.
Strengths
Tons of features. Very reliable. When in tip top condition, this unit provides a ton of capability.
Weakness
Very pricey! Similar competitors (Sigma) can produce HRMs with similar quality at less than half the price. Polar's customer service is an example to every business how not to treat customers and distributors.
