"As a used entry/mid level bike it's a great buy."alex jb

all works like a bike should

(4)

A very solid frame and fork with a stiff feel. Specialized's own components seem good quality too

(4)

Compact frame geometry and medium rize stem allow a good range of riders/positions.

(4)

seat was big flabby junk, but most people have their own preference anyway.

(4)

Only negative is the clearance of the rear tyre to the seat post tube, it's about 4 - 6mm with a 700c x 23 slick, there is no room for a winter tire.

I traded my Klein hard tail MTB for this, I had the Klein for sale for $500 but $450 is about that this 2004 model (in mid 2009) is worth. a good used bike buy.

Own brand crank looks a little flimsy, no isses though. Wheel set performs fine but looks cheap.

Big brand name peace of mind, solid & stiff feel, godd adjustability to suit your fit.

some low end components are begging to be upgraded
