"All-around great bike, great price for the product, however, needs some basic improvements mainly the seat."jv1244
Ease of use
Going from not having ridden a bike since middle school, to starting up about a month ago, I found getting used to the bike and fancy gadgets takes a day of practice.
Quality of Construction
Everything seems ship-shape however, at times the gears shift very smooth, and other times it takes a while or will slip.
Fit
I'm 5'6'' so got the 54cm frame and it fits like it's supposed to.
Comfort
The biggest flaw with the bike is the standard seat that it comes with. Places all pressure at one central spot equaling a painful backside.
Adjustability
The seat will "adjust" itself after time requiring quick stop and fix situations.
Durability
Where I live there's a lot of construction, very hilly and bumpy roads. Having said that, I'd probably break before the bike.
Value
Was given the option of buying a non-upgradeable bike for $200 less, a used bike for half price that doesn't fit well and is old, or this with a discount and a package deal, so I think I did well going with this bike.
Appearance
Got the black/red it's sleek and sexy.
Customer Service
The local shop owner at Pedal Power in San Marcos is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. As far as Trek service I haven't experienced them yet.
Performance
The better the rider the better the performance. But even so I find it very fast and performs well under rough conditions.
Strengths
Get into the drop and you can go pretty dang fast. Seems to improve as your physical abilities improve.
Weakness
The seat is horrid.

Ease of installation
The local shop, Pedal Powers, did all the grunt work on this bike.
