"I am very happy with my first road bike, and will continue to upgrade it with some tri components. "jahopewell
Quality of Construction
The construction is solid. The bike rides smooth, and I have had no issues.
Fit
I am 5'10" and riding a 54. It fits great. Again, no issues once my body got used to riding. The next hurdle will be adding an aerobar and getting used to that.
Comfort
The seat is the only comfort issue. Again, I have gotten used to it. When I first started riding, I had some major pain in the rear after about an hour. This was without any bike shorts. I have been riding with bike shorts or a tri-suit since then and have had no issues riding two plus hours.
Adjustability
It is fully adjustable, I have not had any major needs for adjustments thus far.
Durability
Very durable. The bike has already endured one crash with no major issues.
Value
Seems like a lot of bike for the money.
Appearance
Looks great. The only exception being the white seat and bar tape. My bar tape is now black, thanks to the crash. A white saddle seams like a bad idea, but has held up pretty well so far.
Performance
I did my first triathlon on this bike a couple of weeks ago and was thrilled. I was able to hold 19mph. I realize that this isn't very fast for you seasoned tri-bike riding folks, but I felt pretty proud of holding that speed with no aerobar and no clip pedals (I am using cages).
Strengths
Good bike for the money. Fast.
Weakness
Saddle (cofort and color)
- 71 people use
- 1254 workouts logged
- 47623.7 miles / 3038.65 hours logged
Ease of use
This is my first Road bike and I had done some research to determine what would be a good starter bike that also had good performance. This bike fit both of those criteria. It has not dissapointed. It is easy to use, shifts smoothly and is fast.
