"My old Shimano tri shoes are the shoes I should have bought...I use them for my road bike but they are just about a half size too small. Even though they are smaller I have an easier time sliding my foot into each shoe.
Anyway....I paid the $170 for the Specialized Tri-Vents so I'm going to have to get another 1 or 2 seasons of use out of them before I look at replacing them. Will definitely explore going back to Shimano when the time comes."michael2_19030
Quality of Construction
No problems with the quality or construction except I wish they would stay open wider when clipped in.
Fit
Fit is fine. No problems.
Comfort
Comfortable. Again....no problems with comfort.
Adjustability
I guess this has to do with straps and cleats.
Durability
Have held up good so far. Two seasons.
Value
Much better shoes out there for less than what I paid...
Appearance
Nothing special...
Performance
They are getting a 3/5 due to the problems I have getting my feet into the shoes while clipped in....
Strengths
Two racing seasons worth of use and they have held up really good, Carbon bottom, weight, ventilation, strap opens away from the bike....
Weakness
fabric near strap is not loose enough - I can never find enough room to easily slip my foot into the shoe because the material folds towards the other side of the shoe - you would think that if the strap is placed in the open position with the plastic clasp held at the little notch or cutout on the strap one would have a better entry into the shoe.
- 12 people use
- 738 workouts logged
- 17872.66 miles / 1190.46 hours logged
Ease of use
The fabric does not want to stay wide enough when cliped into my pedal.
