"Overall the Kinvara is a GREAT shoe! I bought these as a first step towards a minimalist shoe (minimal upper, low toe drop, minimal support). They feel great! I barely notice them while running. I love them so much, I bought a second pair! I paid around 85 for my first pair in July, but got my second pair for about $70 in late october."ferretracer
Fit
I have a wider foot, but the fit is great. I was hesitant at first because they seemed a bit snug when I put them on, but as soon as I started running in them, I fell in love. The toe box is nice and flexible and allows my feet/toes to spread upon footstrike.
Comfort
AWESOME! They are so light! I barely notice they are on my feet!
Durability
The tread is holding up very well after about 150 miles on the road and trail. The only reason why I gave them a 4 not 5 is because of the crease on both uppers where the shoe bends when I run and the slight rip on the right shoe on this crease. Everything else about this shoe in terms of durability is excellent.
Value
Overall this shoe is a great value! I have found them to be worth every penny! So much so that I bought a second pair about 4-5 weeks ago (I went with the bright orange for the second pair).
Appearance
They look great! I have the white with blue and also the bright orange. They look "fast"-until I start running, then they look slow since I run like a turtle :)
Performance
They have performed excellently! I have worn them for all sorts of runs- 10 mile trail runs/ races, 1/2 marathons on the road, 5k/10k at the end of triathlons. Their lightness is key!
Strengths
Lightness, fit, overall build, style, feel while running
Weakness
Just the slight crease noted above.

Quality of Construction
I love the light build. The sole has excellent traction. I run many miles on the road and trail and have not had any issues with grip. The upper is very thin and keeps my feet cool in the heat. My feet also stay warm on cold night runs as well. I have a small rip (1/5 in) on the outside edge of the right shoe where a crease has also formed as the shoe bends in the same spot with each step. That's why a 4, not a 5. Oh, I also love the low toe drop.
