"Overall I'd say this is a real good option for the GPS/HRM market. If you find a good deal, its a "no brainer""Sous

(5)

Very simple installation of software. Simply download the Timex Device Agent from timexironman.com and away you go. Once the software is loaded you can make all configuration settings from your computer (instead of on the watch itself), which is MUCH easier!

(5)

Super easy to use. Once you set up all your settings (tip: use the computer!) you are ready to go. Accessing the different menus and options is simple and intuitive via the watches mode, up, down, back, and enter buttons.

So far so good. I haven't had any problems with the watch or chest strap. I've even dropped the watch a couple of times and had no issues. I guess you can say it takes a licking and keeps on ticking. (sorry I just had to)

The watch is pretty big, but not really any bigger than most of its competition. It doesn't hinder me at all, but I certainly won't be wearing it all day.

(4)

Once its on its no big deal, fairly comfortable and doesn't interfere with running, ridding, or swimming but again its pretty big.

(5)

As far as the fit adjustability its pretty good. I'm a small guy and I can ware it with a few notches to spare on the band.

As for function adjustability its top notch. There are dozens of features and I can't figure out one that I'd want that it doesn't have.

Again, so far so good.

With the deals they were running before Christmas, I'd say it was a steal. Not sure what they are going for now, but even at full retail ($300 for the HRM version, I think) I'd say it was still a pretty good deal compared with the competition.

Looks nice. Its big, but at least it just looks like a big Timex Ironman.

(5)

I'll give them a 5 on this. Not that I had any real issues, but I did email a question on a firmware update and got a response less than 24 hours later.

Fantastic performance. It does everything I could ask and does it well. GPS tracking has been pretty spot on. I've compared my readings to a know certified 5K course that's on my regular running route and it was within .05K, which is easily attributed to my own drifting along the road.

Very easy to set up (if you use the computer), more data features than you can imagine, ANT+ capable, and good GPS reception and accuracy.

A bit large, but again most are. No foot pod capabilities so if you run indoors you're out of luck for tracking your distance.
