"Over all I am satisfied with the Polar RS300x SD HRM with footpod for distance and speed. I bought it primarily for the heart rate and watch features, and the SD foot pod works well enough for my training needs. It is a great piece of kit for the price."GetzC

The foot pod easily attaches to the laces of your running shoes.

This HRM, with foot pod is incredibly easy to operate, star and stop with one easy to hit button located right under the watch face, and easy to use side buttons for scrolling through the features.

I have used this on 4 open water sprint races, have jumped out of airplanes with the watch, and worn it every day since I bought it in May 2010, with now problems. It is very durable. The foot pod has been literally all over the Middle East as well as the southern US while on my running shoe, in all weather with no problems.

I have small wrists and the watch fits just right. People with thick wrists might find it a bit tight; I am on the 4th hole from the end.

(4)

The watch and HRM are incredibly comfortable. The wear link HRM transmitter is soft and Machine washable.

(5)

The transmitter can be purchased in any size and is adjustable. I wear the M-XL.

After 7 months of everyday use still no issues

(4)

This does everything I bought it for. I would like a better fitness personal trainer program interface through Polar, but it is adequate, and for the price I have very little to complain about.

I think it is one of the better looking Polar watches

The watch and HRM features are excellent; I do have a few issues with the SD foot pod. You have to periodically calibrate the foot pod based on your stride. If for any reason your stride changes it affects your distance. I used it for the WDW Marathon and my distance was almost 2 miles off at the end. I think that is more a function of my gait changes rather than a weakness with the device.

HRM works well, watch features are very nice, and the Foot pod is accurate enough for training, and shorter distant races.

Foot pod not so great for long races or routs that have allot of hills that will cause your stride length to change. It also requires another devise called the Flow Link in order to interface with the Polar personal training website, and of course that is sold separately.
