"I've been using Asics Nimbus (11 & 12) the past few years and loved them, though I think I liked the 11s better than the 12s. I'd read that they narrowed the tow box on most recent version (13) and when I tried them at the store, they just didn't fit the same. Sometimes they just can't leave well enough alone.

I'd seen the Glycerin 9s suggested as an alternative frequently when I was looking up the Nimbus, so I kept them in the back of mind when I went shopping.

I usually go with a wider (EE) width shoe and saw that the Glycerin 9 came in width sizes. To my surprise, the medium width (D) size fit just right

Seem to be at least as well made as my old Asics, maybe a little better even.

Nice and wide, surprised I didn't need to go with the wider option.

Only 2 medium length runs (6 & 5 miles) so far, but from the first time I put them on, they seemed to be a perfect fit for my feet, reminds me of when I first tried on my old Asics Nimbus 11s.

Switched out the laces with Lock Laces. Tweaked them a few times and seem to have just the right tension to keep them in place without being too tight.

Remains to be seen.

Nothing is perfect, wish I could find them on sale. If they were ~$100, I'd give them a 5.

Love the look of the black/blue color scheme. The other color combinations are fine too.

So far so good, though only have about 11 miles in them so far. After wearing them around the house for a couple days I hit the treadmill and was able to hit a pretty hard (for me - worked up to about 7 min/mile) pace on them the first run without any blisters or foot/leg pain.

Great performance as a daily trainer shoe.
Loads of cushion, on par with the Asics Nimbus
Great looking
Well Made
Generous tow box for wider feet
Solid option in a neutral shoe

Cost, they don't give them away.
Hard to find in the color scheme I was looking for.
