"This has been a really good entry bike, I got a great deal on it used. As I'm learning though if you do a lot of road rides of 50 or more miles this may not be the right setup."alfordjman

Get on and ride, pretty smooth overall.

The 61cm frame size seems a little small for a taller rider.

Stock saddle seemed a little on the cheap side. I replaced it following just 1 18mile ride to something with a stiffer bracket.

Performance

Solid performance for a bike in this price range.

Strengths

Good component group for the money. Light and quick through curves. Hill climbing is easy with the compact setup.

Weakness

Front 105 derailleur is a little weak, needs constant adjusting to shift between high and low. Shifting between high and low on the fly can be slow and awkward. The compact setup is not a smart option if you're running a bunch of metric centuries or full centuries, consider the regular crank and cassette combo for that.
