"Scion xB hatchback. No rain gutters and not recommended to install a hitch. The only option for a bike carrier for me was a trunk mount. I was not happy about this and almost installed a hitch anyway. After using this rack for a few months, I am glad I did not. It suits my needs well and I am happy with the overall value."iggimo2

The first install takes a while, but subsequent installations are a breeze.

I use this rack on a 2009 Scion xB. It stays on the car permanently and gives me no problems opening the hatchback.

Downgraded slightly here due to the powder-coated main frame arms showing scratches. They are my fault, however, the finish durability could be improved.

I carry my TT/Tri bike with aero top tube on the outermost position with no problem whatsoever. I carry my road bike on any position with no issues.
The rack fits my car perfectly and gives me great visibility.

No complaints from my bikes, though. I use red shop rags to protect the paint on my bikes when tightening the straps on the rack. Have not noticed any damage to my bikes (and I have looked VERY hard)

I would say this could be re-installed on most any vehicle without plastic fairings on top of the hatchback/trunk lid.

(5)

No issues. Do not foresee any.

Holds bikes as well as roof-mounted systems in my opinion. Not as flexible, with attachment options, but much more flexible as to vehicle fit. Not as expensive. For the price, I judge this to be a great value.

Immediately recognizable as a SARIS rack by its design. Downgraded slightly here due to the powder-coated main frame arms showing scratches. They are my fault, however, the finish durability could be improved.

Not had to contact them yet

No complaints. If this rack were stolen from me, I would buy the exact same one again.
One hard tail MTB, one full suspension MTB, and one 54cm road bike fit on the rack at the same time, though with some effort to get pedals and handlebars to fit without rubbing.

Ease of installation, ability to move between vehicles.

Two bikes fit easily, three bikes takes a bit of creative planning. Pedal removal or handlebar adjustment would solve the problem.
