"Excellent warranty support and customer service. Bought this trainer 5 years ago, after a couple years the screw to tighten resistance unit to wheel stripped, submitted a warranty claim online and had a new and improved screw assembly in my mailbox 2 days later. Recently, after 5 years of heavy use, the trainer started to make some grinding noises and really load up the resistance during intervals, to the point where I had to down shift just to maintain cadence. My initial thought was, "Well 5 years, it's been a pretty good run, think I'll upgrade to one of those new computer controlled trainers." But I didn't feel like shelling out $1k+ for a new trainer and then remembered that Kurt advertised a Lifetime Warranty, checked their website and sure enough, filled out the online warranty form again and boom, a new resistance unit arrived 3 days later (it also appears to be slightly improved from the original, maybe it will last 10 years before wearing out). This company stands behind their products!"mikec123
Ease of use
Easy to use, get on and ride.
Quality of Construction
Good quality, not perfect, but functional.
Durability
Have had 2 warranty claims over 5 years: 1 minor, 1 major.
Value
In my mind best performance for the money.
Customer Service
Both warranty interactions were top notch, submitted a claim and new parts showed up 2 or 3 days later.
Performance
Solid consistent performance day in and day out.
Strengths
consistent, smooth, relatively quiet resistance unit
Weakness
Only thing more I'd like in a trainer is computer controlled resistance and interactive routes...Computrainer, Wahoo Fitness, or similar...but those cost 4-6X what I paid for the Kurt Kinetic.
