"I like these shoes. I considered trying the Saucony Peregrine for my next shoe, and realized that was silly since I've been doing fine in these for a while. If it ain't broke...."adam.m.davidson
Ease of use
The lacing system is straightforward with the only gimmick being the small band over the forefoot, which arguably adds some stability.
Quality of Construction
The shoes have held up exceptionally well on the rocky trails of Lake Pueblo State park and the Wet Mountains. They have a laminated toe rand, which keeps them light but at least adds some durability to the fabric (though maybe not tons of protection).
Fit
The Pure Grit 3 fits my average to wide foot well, and I love the wider toebox. They're not as exaggerated in the width of the toebox as a pair of Altras. I like their middle of the road cozy, roomy fit.
Comfort
The cushioning is sufficient, and I rarely if ever take note of pointy rocks giving me problems.
Adjustability
The lacing system is simple, and allows for modification of fit based on lacing style. Simple is good.
Durability
The shoes have held up admirably with lots of mixed miles (350 or so now and still doing alright).
Value
At $120, these shoes are middle of the road in price. It's not a steal, and it's not ludicrous. A great shoe for a fair price.
Appearance
I like the blue and green. It's interesting that Brooks opted out of the dayglo colors that are so hot.
Customer Service
Had an issue with an older pair of Brooks and had them replaced on the spot by a dealer. Brooks took care of me.
Performance
Light. Comfy. Fast. Good enough for me. The new tread format works well on varied terrain as well.
Strengths
Light. Comfy. Fast.
Weakness
Nothing glaring.

Ease of installation
I'll consider the break-in period installation. These shoes were pleasant from the first run. Their roomy toe box made for plenty of room without needing my foot to create the shape it needed in the shoe. They're definitively neutral, nearly flat
