" The main reason I got this was because I"m terrible at counting laps. It serves that pourpose well. i also like looking at the analytics with my swim coach. "bigevilgrape
Fit
This watch is much thinner then the 910xt and the 920xt. It is sized more like a regular watch which makes the fit good for people with small wrists.
Comfort
Band is comfortable and the watch face is small and light enough I don't notice it when swimming unless it catches a line line.
Adjustability
I have pretty small wrists, and I am soemwhere in the middle of the watch band. It should fit a wide range of wrist sizes.
Durability
I've been using it for about a year and I have some small scuffs on the watch face from abusing the watch. Otherwise its still in great shape. I haven't had to change the battery yet.
Strengths
It counts the laps which makes long sets easier.
I like the set timer... easier to workout sets that leave on the xx:xx
Weakness
The garmin connect and garmin express softwear can be a bit buggy
The graphs for workouts aren't as intuitive as those for running and biking.
It has trouble telling the difference between backstroke and breast stroke
Sometimes the watch misses a turn causing the distance count to be slightly off. If you have good strong turns this doesn't happen to often.
Uses ant+ and not bluetooth to sync with computer, so you have to use a dongle.
- 13 people use
- 51 workouts logged
- 59.98 miles / 50.8 hours logged
Ease of use
Pretty straight forward to use. I sometimes hit the stop button instead of pause between sets, even after months of use.
