"I don't often listen to music at most practices, but sometimes its nice to throw on some music and just go. This offers decent sound quality and is pretty easy to use. "bigevilgrape
Ease of use
Loading music and playing music are easy. if you want to use the favorites to make a playlist things become a bit tedious.
Quality of Construction
I didn't own the previous version (the swimp3) but finis updated the charging/cable system to make it less likely to fail. It seems to be well constructed, and the display is clear and easy to read with a light text on black background.
Comfort
I just stick the "headphones" under my cap and go. After 45 min to an hour they can get a little anoying and I need to reposition them to a more comfortable spot. I clip it to my lower google strap and don't notice it on the back of my head.
Durability
I've only had it a couple of months, but it was a used unit. No signs of wear and tear yet.
Value
I got a used unit which made things a no brainer. I only listen to music during the occasional swim practice, so I'm not sure the retail price would have been worth it.
Appearance
You will look like a dork using this thing, but the sound quality makes up for the dork factor
Customer Service
I emailed customer service about a problem and got a quick response. my problem turned out to be user error.
Performance
The sound quality is way better than the quality on my waterproof iPod case. Someone else on my swim team tested it and was also impressed with the sound quality over her waterproof earbuds.
Strengths
Decent sound quality when used under water. I have a hard time with earbuds in general and I find it much easier to use this than the headphones that came with my iPod waterproof case.
Weakness
The next/previous song buttons and volume buttons are the same, you just hold them to change the volume.
No real playlist support, and the favorites feature is hard to use.

Ease of installation
No real instillation required. The devices mounts as a hard drive on your computer and you can drag and drop music onto it.
