"This was my first experience with a trisuit, and I was really impressed. I might be tempted to use it in longer races, too. Swimming was no problem, even with a serpentine swim that involved a bunch of flip turns and lane changing. It was comfortable on the bike. I'm used to minimal padding, as I train in trishorts almost all the time. For the run, I forgot I was wearing anything special. It just worked and disappeared from my consciousness and I was able to concentrate on my race. Here's a link to the item "alicefoeller
Fit
I consulted with the company and they sent me an XS. I'm 5'3" and 117 pounds. It is a good fit. I'm small chested. If I weren't, I don't know if the XS would be right for me, but the suit fit me in all areas and that's somewhat amazing considering it's a one piece item.
Comfort
I have a rule about not wearing something new on race day, and I violated it to test this trisuit. I really completely forgot I was wearing something different. I usually race in tri shorts and a bra top, and I truly didn't notice I was wearing this. I did have to wear a bra underneath, because trisuits don't have built-in shelf bras and aren't cut to be worn without one. But there was no chafing despite the double layers.
Durability
See above regarding the fabric and its resistance to chlorine.
Value
This is a good tri suit. If I hadn't been provided it to review, I'm not sure I would have purchased one. Also I have the price in US Dollars, but this is a British company. The suit is listed on their site at 80 pounds, which doesn't sound so bad.
Appearance
It looks nice. The lines are good. I wish there were more colors available, since my bike is white and orange and the suit is navy and red. But that's OK.
Strengths
This suit was great for the sprint race I did. I usually race in tri shorts and a bra top, so it was nice having full coverage of my tummy while waiting for the swim to start, yet not having the drawstring/seam at my waist. Not having a waist thing is one of the big attractions of tri suits. I think it actually cuts down on tummy trouble during a race. I find when I wear a fuel belt or something around my waist, sometimes it makes my guts uncomfortable enough that it affects my performance. If I loosen it up, it slides down over my butt. So, anyway, the lack of cinching at the waist is nice. The suit didn't chafe or bother me in any way, despite not having trained in it beforehand.
Weakness
This is not specific to this product, but with tri suits in general, it makes bathrooms stops just a little harder. It actually wasn't a huge deal. The worst part was pulling the suit back up when it was wet with sweat and clammy after the race. Like putting on a wet swimsuit, except it touches even more surface area. Yuck. But that has nothing to do with Sundried. That just comes with trisuit territory.
Quality of Construction
I could tell this was a high quality piece by feeling the fabric, but as I was looking over the tags, I noticed it said, "Chlorine Proof!" I sort of snorted to myself and said, "The only way this could be chlorine proof is if it were 100% polyester." Then I looked at the tags and, in fact, it is 100% polyester. I did use the trisuit in a sprint triathlon with a pool swim, and I did not notice any chlorine-related stretching or deterioration.
