"I was researching between Polar and Garmin and went with Polar mainly because of the foot pod concept. It is extremely accurate. One time in the Smoky mountains I ran up a paved path and once at the top looked at the distance and altitude of the run and it was right on with what the trail was published as. I read a lot of complaints about the GPS based ones because of thick cloud or wood cover tainting data. This one you have nothing to worry about. This has given me loads of data over the last couple of years and I would definately buy another"capt-america

the lap button stopped working. i sent it in under warrantee. had to pay for shipping, but they shipped it back in great condition and even replaced the battery since they had it open anyway, cost free
Performance
This gives me all the data I need.
Strengths
Collects great amount of data. Can buy additional equipment to attach to bike to monitor power, cadence, speed, etc into the computer. Foot pod allows for very accurate distance and altitude. software is good in interpretting your data
