"I've used Mizuno Wave Nirvana through models 2, 3 and 4 and have been pleased with its performance and durability over the years. "RunningJayhawk
Quality of Construction
Well made shoes...very durable, great breathability, and I've yet to have a pair fall apart on me. My only gripe is that sometimes I get small rocks caught in the sole of the shoe, but this is an issue with design more than anything else.
Fit
I love the wider toe box and having it feel a little more snug around the arch of my foot. They're also very lightweight!
Comfort
Very comfortable cushioning inside. But as all shoes go...it depends on the preference of the runner.
Durability
I've yet to have a pair fall apart on me.
Value
They're pricey. In the Chicago market I've seen them priced at $125+. But when I'm running, it's one of the few things I really need so it's a good investment.
Appearance
I'm not always a fan of the colors they come in, but I don't buy my running shoes for the appearance.
Performance
My Wave Nirvanas have taken me through 3 marathons, 1 ultra and a handful of half marathons and smaller road races.
Strengths
- Very durable...I've been able to put 500+ miles on some of my pairs and they still felt great (although once in a while I'd replace the insole for a little extra cushioning).
- Lightweight with a great fit
- Good support and comfy cushioning
Weakness
- Small Pebbles and rocks sometimes get caught in the holes in the sole of the shoe (design issue)
- Pricey
- 40 people use
- 458 workouts logged
- 5745.34 miles / 824.64 hours logged
Ease of use
They're a great shoe...easy to get on and off.
