Swim
Comments: Swim start well. Good/expected performance. Probably one of my most efficient swims, navigationally speaking. Transition 1
Comments: Time is long due to extremely long distance to run from the swim exit to the transition area (between a quarter and half mile). Bike
Comments: Overall bike performance better than normal but still shows my biggest weakness of all three disciplines. CRAZY insane accident (didn't see the actual accident) but an elite triathlete hit a car who was turning where he shouldn't have turned (into race traffic). What would you do differently?: Well, I'm improving but I still need to get the hills and wind beat. Need to improve cadence. Transition 2
Comments: Too little room to run the bike from dismount into the transition area and a couple people were running their bike too slowly. Actually happened running the bike to the mounting area as well. What would you do differently?: Took too long after getting the shoes on to think about what to do next. Run
Comments: Run started out a little low on breath, wanting more water. Second mile I was able to pick it up by using my arms more. Finished pretty strong with a solid run to the finish, passing many (although I was trying to pass more people in my age group). Fastest 5k in a triathlon race to date. What would you do differently?: More hydration. Post race
Warm down: Water water water. Cold water. Event comments: I can see my improvements coming slowly. Last updated: 2009-06-09 12:00 AM
