Protein Bar and banana for breakfast. 1 bottle of Gatorade between 7:15am-8:30am. 1 gel 15 minutes before race.

Train more (only swam full distance twice - both in pool - and 2 short OW swims)

I seem to be stuck at the 26km/hr speed... I'd like to see how fast I could go with a good bike.
What would you do differently?:

I would not try to eat a Cliff bar on the bike - stick with gels/liquids.

Bike would not stay on rack - lost a few seconds. Also, forgot to take off sunglasses and had to put them in tri shirt. Otherwise, good transition. Biked in running shoes, so no shoe change.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I didn't train enough. Being my first Olympic Triathlon, I didn't know where I could push, so I stayed at a fairly comfortable pace throughout.

Event comments:

The race seemed well organized, except for the poor estimate of supplies needed at the water stations. I left immediately after the race, so I cannot comment on post-race activities. I went into the day with a goal of 3 hours, and came in with 35 seconds to spare. I think I can go under 2:40 next year.
