Swim
Comments: The swim was a nightmare again. I really need to figure out how to chill, find my pace and hold it. After 200 meters, I was back on my side, doing some side crawling. Also resorted to backstroking a few times. Kept breatinh really heavy the whole time. Good note: I did a much better job with navigation this time. Having my head out of the water so much certainly helped though. What would you do differently?: More practice. Need to be able to hold my crwal for the complete course! Transition 1
Comments: Really worked to improve my transition and it showed. No wetsuit to remove certainly helped too. My shoes were on my bike, and I slipped into them after jumping on my bike and getting to speed first. It worked very well. I just need more practice slipping in my shoes while rolling so that I can do it faster. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: Started strong, but had some weak moments. I did better than last time on the same track by about 40 seconds, which is pretty good for me. Transition 2
Comments: Better than last time, but had to remove my left shoe to replace my sock properly: I had the stich in the wrong place, loosing 10-15 seconds. Run
Comments: My calves were tight for the first km, but started feeling better afterwards. I really wanted to do a faster pace than last time (which was already good for me) and I did. For once, I was especially strong for thr last 200-300 yards, which I usually fail to achieve. Very happy with my run overall. I can feel I taxed my body though because I have sore legs today... Post race
Warm down: None.. I really should strech though. What limited your ability to perform faster: My usual problems in the swim. Really can't complain about my bike and run legs. Last updated: 2009-08-16 12:00 AM

Very little time to warm up in the water.
