Run
Comments: Ran a lot faster than I normally would because I need as many points as possible for Series standings. First time this yr I was able to finish 1st on 1st run segment Transition 1
Comments: Not sure if I ran too fast on 1st run segment. Transition was slow, helmet straps got tangled and co-ordination was not there to buckle up the helmet quickly. Tried a few times before I was able to get helmet buckled up properly. Bike
Comments: Again, as this is the last race in season, biked as fast as I can. Passed a ton of people. There was a guy that rode similar pace to mine, and we exchanged leads a few times. There were a couple of people that insisted on riding in the middle of lane and wouldn't even move to the left when I yelled "on the left"!? Transition 2
Comments: Uneventful Run
Comments: Ran hard down the finish chute as I thought someone was close behind. You can see the strain on my face in the race pix. This is the first du this season I'm first on the run. Post race
Event comments: 1st in AG, 5th overall, 2nd fastest overall bike split. Very happy as 1st place got me max pts for Series standings. Looks like I'm the Du Series Champion! Not a bad consolation prize given that I chickened out the 1st tri this season and ended up switching my goal to the du.
