Run
Comments: It went very well for my first marathon. Read my blog for lots of details- http://therunningartist.blogspot.com/2010/03/no-longer-virgin.html Ran easy from the start, keep a good pace, drank and had gels when needed, after mile 15 walked the aid stations, this was planned and really helped a gret deal. Miles 18 to 23 were the worst, painful and I was sore, not so many fans to cheer, but I got through and with the help of family and such I made it with no injuries and I want to do more! What would you do differently?: Well it was my first, so there is lots I could do different! Post race
Warm down: Walked about 2 miles, had an ice bath later, a message, stretching, and lots of food and beer. What limited your ability to perform faster: It was my first time, experience probably. Event comments: With the exception of poor road conditions this was fabulous for me. Last updated: 2009-09-05 12:00 AM
