Comments:

This is not a race, but a century, followed-up by a 50M return trip on 2nd day of event. Event has SAG stops approx every 10 miles for first half. Second half of event has fewer stops, with a 28M span with no stops between 50M and 78M mark. My guess for reason of fewer stops is that fewer people participate in full century, and those that do are better prepared.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Was spent after 80M mark. Pushed well beyond my fitness level, but feels great to complete it. I had issues with calf's locking up on long rides, but not this time. Believe I can attribute performance to good hydration and leg strength improvement from running.

Event comments:

This is my second year doing this event. I took the 50M option last year. Was planning on doing 70M this year, but decided to attempt 103M on last days heading into event. Didn't want to finish the 70M and feel like I could of gone further. Was difficult at 70-103 split to mentally make commitment to continue with century. Glad I stuck to it and feeling pretty proud of myself today.
