Run
Comments: When I received the flame, I turned and began a slow jog. I wanted to enjoy every minute and I wanted my Olympic moment to last as long as possible. 300m can only last so long, though, so my segment was finished in about 5 minutes. Post race
Warm down: The shuttle bus picked me up immediately following my segment, and we proceeded to pick up each of the 18-20 people from our group as they finished running/walking their segment. Event comments: This was definitely an amazing experience. I was able to go to Torch celebrations in both Charlottetown, PEI, and Moncton, NB. I also saw parts of the relay in both provinces. Met at the APM Centre at 7:30am for an information session. Our host, Pierre-Luc Siméon spoke to us about the importance of the Olympic Flame and the Torch Relay. Afterward, he went to the shuttle bus to get the torches. We were each called by name to receive our own Olympic Torch. We then boarded the shuttle bus to be dropped off at our respective starting points.
