Run
Comments: For some reason the first km of the race, I didn't feel "comfortable". Once I got in to a groove, I felt more at eeze. Maybe it was just nerves being that it was my first multisport event. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I feel I ran a good pace for the 1st run. Transition 1
Comments: Things went as well as they could have considering I'm using biking shoes instead of tri shoes. What would you do differently?: Get tri shoes in the future & learn how to "mount & clip" the bike instead of stopping & hoping on it. Bike
Comments: Considering how hilly it was, I did manage to plan my strategy as I was riding...when to spin downhills for momentum, when to just glide to save energy, etc. What would you do differently?: Drive the course before a new event to check things out. Transition 2
Comments: Again, took a little bit of time once I dismounted the bike since my legs didn't want to run. Also took a breather & a swig of Gatorade. What would you do differently?: Pratice more brick transitions. Run
Comments: I was starting to feel it after the first km of the 2nd run. I took in some gatorage at the transition and it didn't seem to sit right. By the 2km mark, I had some funny feelings in my gut, but that settled within a few minutes. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Ran with what I had left. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, and to the "feed" area for a pita. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing....this was my best effort & I'm extremely happy with my performance. Last updated: 2010-01-23 12:00 AM

Got to the event location @ 9:30 AM, unloaded the car, setup my transition area, registered & walked around.
5 min jog around the parking lot with a few drills & stretches.
