Comments:

Ran the 1st 10k a little fast in 50min. Backed off and was exact 2h17 at 25k. It started to get hard and I slipped 7min behind at 30k. Then BONK with a capital B at 35k! All my training was in cold or rain. Today was the very 1st hot day of the summer. Was running hard and doing great, then BAM! out of nowhere, quad cramps at 35k. When I walked to recover, I became dizzy and nausous. I realized I was overheating and started pouring water on my head to cool off. I recovered enough to walk/run to the finish but my goal time was long gone. Everyone was suffering in the heat. The medics could hardly keep up with the people needing assistance.
What would you do differently?:

Should have adjusted my cold weather pace to consider the heat and my lack of hot weather training.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked back along course to 300m, light stretching and waited 1/2hr for my wife to pass by in her 1/2 marathon. Ran with her to her finish.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Heat-stroke at 35k.
