Run
Comments: There were so many walkers and they were in front of everyone else. Then the stroller people and the people running and not paying attention. Didn't get running for at least 5 minutes and then it was a start stop, bob and weave kinda thing, without getting too serious about going fast. In the last 2k, Jason and I picked it up unconsciously and were doing a 5min pace! What would you do differently?: This was a fun run. Questionable thing to do the night before a marathon, but hell, I'm an Ironman! Post race
Warm down: Drank lots of water, had some chips and stuff and went back to the hotel. Oh, and stretched a bit. What limited your ability to perform faster: Marathon on the next day and a zillion walkers. Event comments: http://www.mtecresults.com/runner/show?rid=16529&race=17# Just a fun run. Need I say more. Got a shiny medal though! Above are the results. Oh, and this is the first time I've ever been FOP in a major race. How ironic is that?! Last updated: 2010-04-26 12:00 AM

This was a "fun run" the day before the Marathon. Had no intention of racing it.
Went to Olive Garden and had a big salad and some shrimp/penne concoction in a light tomato spicy sauce.
Lots of water.
Arrived at the race site and waited and waited and waited with 5197 other competitors.
Trying to keep in the shade, out of the ant hills and away from the people with strollers. Took lots of pictures.
Tried to keep off my feet.
