Age Group Rank = 30/42
Pre-race routine:

Just a lot of sorting, working out, stairs into the grandstand for race briefing...
Nothing too exciting to be honest!
Event warmup:

None. Climbing stairs :) It was a pool swim, so I didn't need a warm up.
  • 05m 11s
  • 300 meters
  • 01m 44s / 100 meters

I knew I went fast, but when I saw that rank. Holy hell.
So proud!
What would you do differently?:

I had more!!! I could have been leading my age group!!!
Transition 1
  • 01m 41s

First real shot at the run off with the bike and just jump in with the shoes connected.
It worked! Woot!
What would you do differently?:

I was a little slow cos I lost my bike. Never mind. They didn't have numbers on the end of the rows, and I went left instead of right. Ooops.
  • 18m 30s
  • 9 kms
  • 29.19 km/hr

Seriously, I would have done better if a few of the girls knew how to corner and give way... but I didn't even get down on the drops.
Good bike ride.
What would you do differently?:

Not a lot.
I maybe had a bit more in my legs.
Transition 2
  • 01m 30s

Just Good!! I dismounted (much to the amusement of the people around me I must say, it's not a professional tri!!) with my feet out of my shoes, and I was so excited!
What would you do differently?:

Nothin :)
  • 24m 26s
  • 3 kms
  • 08m 08s  min/km

Dead set. I am still a shit runner.

Luckily, hooked up with a lady who was about the same pace as me when she had a walk, and we ran 2.5km of the 3km together.
Good thing too, or I would have died.
What would you do differently?:

Just more running :) To get faster!!
Post race
Warm down:

Walking... stealing free samples... :)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My lack of running ability

Event comments:

I will continue to do this race, becuase it was the first one I ever did.
Now, keep in mind, I did this in over an hour last year, so epic PB, fanastic swim, and a happy Jessica!!!

Go me.
Seriously. How much did I rock that swim!!
