Pre-race routine:

There wasn't one - Mike and I got to the race late. It was raining, I had to throw things into transition as they were closing it just as I got there.

What would you do differently?:

keep working on changing a flat quickly - this added at least 12 minutes onto my time, plus - I took it easy the rest of the way because the tube was a little lumpy

again - transition wasn't set up, bag got stuck under bike, running shoes were still in the bag. The inserts kept rolling over in my shoes and I had to put them on and take them off a couple of times before leaving transition - still ended up with a blister on my arch

I'm not fast to begin with, but after the flat, I lost the drive to really push myself. I ran comfortably and picked it up a little at the end.

Event comments:

only thing bad was the road - lots of debris and potholes. The food was fantastic. I hope they repave the roads soon so I can do this race again just for the food.
