Comments:

First 1/3 of the swim was horrible. Went out too hard (I think), and my breathing went to hell. I nearly wrote off the race about 8 minutes in. But I stuck with it and calmed myself down, and ended up with my first negative split in a swim ever. Was hoping to be a bit faster overall, but just rolled with the punches.

My biggest goal was to push HARD on the bike. And I did that well. I took 5:02 off my ride from this race last year! Mission accomplished. Now, time to hang on for the run!

I didn't go out too hard. I picked it up around the mile 1 marker. I nearly had to stop to walk around mile 5. I was hurting. I was really pushing hard. But I held on and finished OK.

Ate lots of food, ran around cheering for 70.3 people, loaded Sarah's and my stuff in the car, and waited for her to finish the half.
