Run
Comments: Felt great, pace felt fast but it had to be done to stay in touch with some of the top guys. Transition 1
Comments: Had to run slow due to rain (slippery ground) What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Had a hard time (extreme winds, sideways rain, numb feet and hands). I literally pushed as hard as I could, and all I could do was average 32.8km/hr. A bit disappointing, I feel like something has gone wrong with my training, or maybe I just wasn't having a good day for cycling. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Wow, I didn't think I could run that fast with numb feet. This was my fastest run split of the season at the 7km distance (out of 3 races). I got a stomach cramp in the last 2km, but probably held a 4:30min/km pace - hence I was likely on track for a sub 4:10min/km pace if that didn't happen. What would you do differently?: not get a cramp? Post race
Warm down: Due to the fact that I had a cramp in the last 2km, and the fact that I am in great endurance shape, I finished the race and I wasn't breathing too heavy, and my legs felt fine. I just changed my clothes to get warm, ate some food and spent the afternoon sipping on a few beers. What limited your ability to perform faster: weather conditions, and something wrong with my cycling? Last updated: 2010-09-03 12:00 AM

Suppose to get up at 6:15am, woke up at 6:50am, panicked a little but then just got in the car and left asap.
Food = Rye Bread + Peanut Butter
Brought my CycleOps Fluid 2 trainer with me in the car.
1) 10min on Trainer (suppose to be 15min, but I was late)
2) Get timing chip, race kit, body mark
3) Setup Transition
4) Run 10min, with 5x 15sec sprints with 20sec rest
5) Wait an extra 30minutes for race start (because the Tri was canceled due to the wind conditions on the lake, hence a delay) - I think I cooled down too much here and should have gone for another run.
