Comments: Paced it just right for me. The 10K and 5K races start at the same time, so it was tempting to start out strong/fast with the 5Kers, but kept my pace steady and felt good. Had some gas left in the tank at mile 5, so picked up pace and then sprinted to the finish line... Only it wasn't the finish line... It was the start line! The finish line was about another 1/4 mile up the road, so I had to pull back a little at the end, oops! What would you do differently?: Know exactly where the finish line is so I can begin my sprint at the appropriate time! Post race
Warm down: A little walking Event comments: The best road race I have run so far - very well run/organized, started on time, bouncy house for the kids, live music, obstacle course for kids, awesome food/beverages (ALL FREE!!). Everyone had a great time!! Last updated: 2011-05-04 12:00 AM

Had coffee and yogurt smoothie about 2 1/2 hours pre-race. Had 3 peanut butter cracker sandwiches 1 hour before race.
