Pre-race routine:
So, we rolled into town late Friday night, only to find that the campground had locked us out and given us the wrong gate code. We drove around, made lots of phone calls, and FINALLY found a dog-friendly hotel with an open room.
Woke up, and in the process of getting dressed, I slammed my knee into the bathroom counter. A nice, big bump showed up. Luckily, the pain faded and it was just a little stiff.
Event warmup:
Nice walk from the car to the parking lot. Wandered around the expo and looked for my teammate that I never found. Dropped of my jacket and tried to stay in the sunshine!
They write your race number on your forehead. Awesome.
