Comments: I started out great everything felt great, there is a hill at mile 1.5 that I cruised up with no problems. My goal was to hit the mouth of the canyon by 40 minutes and I was 2 minutes ahead. Heading down the canyon everything was good. With about three miles left I started to cramp up a little and have pains in my lower legs. I had to walk a little here and there, I was on pace to do a 1:45ish run until this happened. I was able to hold it together to finish 2 minutes behind my goal of 1:50. Total time unofficial was 1:52 What would you do differently?: I would do more running before the race. I didn't get the miles it that I needed because I am doing my first tri in 2 weeks and have been riding my bike a lot more and teaching myself to swim. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Did a little stretching and walked around the expo and enjoyed the day with my family What limited your ability to perform faster: Maybe losing a little weight and I think I took to much time of before the race for a tight hamstring.
