Comments: Felt fast because it WAS fast. I was really working! Went out hard, eased up a bit in the middle, and held on for the end. What would you do differently?: Not much. Good opening 5K. Transition 1

Comments: Worked hard, but it felt OK. Had some calf-cramps, so I pushed the Gu Brew a bit. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Went out hard-ish, and started to die. That's what I NEEDED to do, but the last half felt horrible (as it probably should). What would you do differently?: I eased up a bit in the last .25 miles. I should have pushed harder all the way through. But that's about it. Post race

Had 2 Powerbars because I was getting hungry (breakfast at 4:30 am!). Didn't get my pre-race Roctane, but brought 2 with me for the bike.
Did a quick bike to make sure everything was shifting OK and did about a 1 mile run. Bike and run felt HORRIBLY slow and labored. Crap.
