Pre-race routine:

Got bike set up night before and my other clothes and equipment packed. Woke up ate a bowl of cereal and drove out to the race site which is only 20 minutes away.
Event warmup:

Rode easy 50 minutes with some pickups.

Comments:

Do not know where I finished in this race yet but do not really care. Those guys that just ride are a lot faster than I am. Especially when you have the national tt champion in the race. Just wanted to get in some good work. Time wise was 21:57 out and 22:00 back so very even. Been riding less miles so far this year as compared to last season but with more intensity. I was worried that my fitness was less but it looks like it is decent. I am sure the mileage will shoot up with an Ironman coming up in November. I just wish this was a 40K to see if I could break 59 minutes right now.

169 average HR which is good for me. Got it up into the mid 170s for the last half.
Wind: Some with gusts
Course: Out and back. Part of the course is rough because of a cement section that has lots of wide cracks and holes in it. I would estimate it to be 1.5 miles long, so 3 miles total. Mostly flat. Had a cross wind for the majority of the race of ~10 mph. Couple of times there were some small gusts but nothing to bad.
